Classic BR/EDR Bluetooth IP family

Compatible with Bluetooth 3.0, and backward compatible with Bluetooth 1.2, 2.0+EDR and 2.1+EDR, it is composed of:

  • Bluetooth hardware baseband controller, available in RTL source code, driven by its firmware, available in C source code. More details can be found on this page.
  • Bluetooth Radio, with integrated digital modem, targeted for TSMC 90nm LP RFCMOS, available in schematics and GDSII. More details can be found on this page.

This family is suitable for use in various applications such as feature phone, computer (desktop, laptop, netbook, tablet), mono/stereo headset, car kit, navigation, portable media player, digital TV, Set Top Box, etc.

Bluetooth low energy IP family

Compatible with the stand alone Bluetooth low energy portion of the Bluetooth 4.0 specifications, it is composed of:

  • hardware baseband controller, available in RTL source code, driven by its firmware, available in C source code. More details can be found on this page.

This family is suitable for use in various applications such as watch, wireless sensors for medical and sport&fitness (heart rate belt, glucose meter, temperature sensor, ...), remote controller, etc...


Dual mode Bluetooth low energy IP family

Compatible with Bluetooth 4.0, with full support of classic BR/EDR Bluetooth and Bluetooth low energy, it is composed of:

  • Bluetooth hardware baseband controller, available in RTL source code, driven by its firmware, available in C source code. More details can be found on this page.

Wi-Fi 802.11abg IP

RivieraWaves offers a complete portfolio of Wi-Fi 802.11abg IPs for integration into ASIC and FPGA. This portfolio is composed of:

  • 802.11 abg MAC, hardware and software, also supporting 802.11e (WMM, WMM-PS, WMM-AC), 802.11i (WPA, WPA2) and WPS, available in RTL and C source code
  • 802.11 abg modem, supporting DSSS, CCK and OFDM modulations, from 1Mb/s to 54Mb/s datarate, available in RTL source code
  • 802.11abg dual band radio (2.4GHz and 5GHz), targeted for TSMC 0.18um RFCMOS, available in schematics and GDSII

Wi-Fi 802.11n IP

RivieraWaves offers a complete portfolio of Wi-Fi 802.11n IPs for integration into ASIC and FPGA. This portfolio is composed of:

  • 802.11n MAC, hardware and software, also supporting 802.11e (WMM, WMM-PS, WMM-AC), 802.11i (WPA, WPA2), WPS, Wi-Fi Direct. Available in RTL and C source code
  • 802.11n modem, supporting DSSS, CCK and OFDM modulations.The modem is scalable from 1x1 up to 4x4, with 40MHz bandwidth support and two spatial streams. Available in RTL source code
